Upcoming Meetings

The Great Lakes Panel on Aquatic Nuisance Species meets twice a year in locations around the Great Lakes basin. Information on upcoming meetings is provided below.

As a result of a lapse in appropriation, the Department of the Interior is initiating a shutdown of non essential work. Federal advisory committees are not deemed essential, so no advisory committee work can be performed for the period of the Federal Government shutdown, i.e., no meetings can take place, and all committee work must come to a halt for the period of the shutdown. Due to this, the 2025 Fall Great Lakes Panel on Aquatic Nuisance Species meeting has been cancelled. The business session will be held virtually upon reopening of the Federal Government.

While Great Lakes Panel work cannot be conducted, there is still opportunity to gather in person for the 2025 Binational Great Lakes Aquatic Invasive Species Forum occurring at the same time and place as the originally planned Fall Great Lakes Panel Meeting.
